Sanders impressed with Keenum’s leadership

Emmanuel Sanders was already happy to see fellow Texan Case Keenum’s name in UCHealth Training Center at the start of the Denver Broncos’ offseason.

A few months down the road with several practices together and the Broncos veteran is even more sure the Broncos have the quarterback that can lead the team back to playoff football.

The 31-year-old and fellow wide receiver Demaryius Thomas have been putting in extra hours over the previous month to ignite the connection needed between the quarterback position and wideouts.

Sanders also spoke about the need for the team to continue in the right direction as OTAs come to a close.

As an experienced player, with knowledge of what it takes to return on special teams, Sanders also gave his thoughts on second-year receiver Isaiah McKenzie, who muffed the ball several times as a punt returner in his rookie year and eventually lost the job.
