Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph speaks to the media after day one of OTAs at UCHealth Training Center.
After the players were done, the talk of the day was of an increased level of intensity compared to recent offseason workouts.
None of the Broncos’ 2018 rookie class took reps with the first string with Shane Ray lining up opposite Von Miller on defense, while Devontae Booker was the first-choice running back.
With an air of caution so early in the year, a number of players were absent.
Ron Leary (knee), Jordan Taylor (hips), Jared Veldheer (foot), Clinton McDonald (shoulder), and rookie tight end Troy Fumagalli (sports hernia) took no part on day one.
