Keenum or Cousins? Brandon Perna looks at the QB market

That's Good Sports looks at the quarterback situation in Minnesota and what that could mean for the Denver Broncos

The Minnesota Vikings announced that they will not be using the franchise tag on quarterback Case Keenum.

Keenum helped get the Vikings to the NFC Championship game where the eventually lost to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

This may indicate that the Vikings are now in play to try and sign Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins once he becomes a free agent starting March 14th.

Bleacher Report reported that there is mutual interest between Kirk and the Vikes.

Minnesota is a tempting destination for any QB right now. They have a top five defense, and great receivers in Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, and Kyle Rudolph, and will get running back Dalvin Cook back next season.

This may leave the Denver Broncos and John Elway on the outside looking in for the QB they really want, Cousins.

Nick Foles may also be in play due to his relationship with the Vikings new offensive coordinator John DeFilippo.

The crazy thing is if Minnesota doesn’t sign Kirk, they can still try and resign two QBs currently on their roster in Teddy Bridgewater or Sam Bradford.
