So we’re still doing this, huh? It’s 152 days until the draft just incase you were wondering. The Broncos and Raiders are both dead teams in the AFC, even if either made the playoffs neither would go far.
Both teams go into this game following coordinator changes, the Broncos trying to fix their failing offence, and the Raiders their historically bad defence which, through 10 games, is yet to have a single interception.
Will the Raiders finally get an INT?
The Raiders have achieved something unprecedented, so well done Raiders. This should be a get-healthy matchup for the Broncos as the Raiders have one of the worst defences in football and although Khalil Mack has devastated the Broncos in recent years he has nobody to play with on the Raiders defence.
Paxton Lynch, prove it
Time for Lynch to step up and show that first round pedigree. He has all the traits but does he have the talent to make it in the NFL? A successful game for Lynch will be a turnover-free one. Manage the game, make a few plays, and keep the field position in Denver’s favour.
I was one of Lynch’s biggest fans going into the draft and I clearly remember punching the air when we traded up to draft him. However come season end the Broncos are going to be in a position to draft a quarterback and it might already be time to move on if we don’t see something from Lynch down the stretch
Broncos 16 – Raiders 10
