Brandon Perna previews Denver at 49ers

Brandon previews game 2.

Paxton Lynch will start at the quarterback position for the Denver Broncos in game number two of the 2017 NFL preseason. The pirate will face off against the San Francisco 49ers starting defense in an attempt to win the job as the starter for the season. Trevor Siemian will see reps with the second team, and also has to perform at a high level if he wants to be considered QB1.

*Note – Forgot to mention Jared Crick also will be out with a back injury.

The Broncos currently have a lot of guys who will not play due to injury. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and Cody Latimer are both questions marks. Derek Wolfe & DeMarcus Walker will not be playing on the defensive line, and center Matt Paradis will get at least one more week of rest before he returns to the field after having double hip surgery this offseason. Bryin Hoyer will start at QB for the 49ers. De’Angelo Henderson could get reps earlier in the game after playing very well against the Chicago Bears last week, and fringe players Kalif Raymond and undrafted rookie Jamal Carter will try and cement a spot on this roster.
